TOWNVILLE, S.C. — New charges have been filed Monday in the Townville Elementary School shooting, including an attempted murder charge for a previously unknown victim, according to the 10th Judicial Circuit Solicitor's Office.
Solicitor Chrissy Adams said Jesse Osborne, 14, has been charged with a second count of murder after the Saturday death of 6-year-old Jacob Hall. He now faces two counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder, in addition to five counts of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Funeral held for S.C. school shooting suspect's father
Jesse Osbourne is accused of shooting his father, 47-year-old Jeffrey Dewitt Osbourne, in the den of his home on Wednesday, then driving a pickup to Townville Elementary School and shooting three others, including Jacob, on the playground. Another student and first-grade teacher Meghan Hollingsworth were treated at AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson and released.
It is not clear whether paperwork has been filed to charge Osborne as an adult, or when and where the additional child victim was shot.

On Sunday, Jeffrey Osborne was laid to rest at Oakdale Baptist Church, which has become a center of activity in the aftermath of last week's violence, and the center of the community’s healing.
Osborne, who owned a poultry farm near Townville, was remembered in this quiet rural community as an avid motorcyclist and a good neighbor.
More than dozen bikers gathered in the parking lot outside the church on Sunday, among Osborne’s friends and neighbors who mourned.
Neighbors Dwain and Shelia Brown came to the church Sunday to pay their respects. Dwain Brown described Jeffrey Osborne as a big-hearted and kind man who allowed hunters to use his land.
“He was the kind of fella you wanted for a neighbor or a brother,” Dwain Brown said.
Jeffrey Osborne was buried at Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Townville. His survivors include his parents, his wife, three children and a brother.
Jacob's family, who also attends Oakdale, will have a funeral for him on Wednesday.
