Michelle Obama might not be interested in a future career in politics, but if she changes her mind and Hillary Clinton is president there may be a spot for her in the next administration.

In an interview with Extra alongside Jennifer Lopez over the weekend, Clinton addressed speculation about the first lady, who has become one of her best surrogates on the campaign trail.

“She's made it pretty clear she wants to focus on important issues like girls' education around the world — she and I actually talked about it when we were together in Winston-Salem — and I want to be the best partner I can be for whenever she wants to do be involved in government again,” Clinton said. “I think she wants to take a break from it, but if she ever wants to do anything like that, I would be the number-one person.”

But don't hold your breath. It doesn't seem like Obama will be applying for any political jobs soon, or at least not running for any. President Obama dismissed any such notions as recently as last Friday.

“She will never run for office,” he said during a radio interview on Sway in the Morning. “She is as talented and brilliant a person as there is, and I could not be prouder of her, but Michelle does not have the patience or the inclination to actually be a candidate herself. And that’s one thing y’all can take to the bank.”

So you're saying there's a chance?
