SNEAKY Sound System’s Connie Mitchell and Angus McDonald have adapted to life on the road as a trio, since the arrival of their son Iggy seven months ago.
Their baby boy will join them on some legs of the Ministry Of Sound Reunion Tour next month which coincides with the 10th anniversary of their self-titled debut record.
The proud parents said their boy is already trying to sing when he is on his father’s lap in the studio.
“He is so chilled. Mum and dad came to mind him when we went to Tokyo last weekend and they couldn’t believe how nothing was a problem,” McDonald said.
Mitchell was back singing at their Sneaky Sundays gigs about seven weeks after he was born.
“My last gig was when I was eight months pregnant. I didn’t feel too sexy at first when I got back into it but it was great because I only had to turn up five minutes before I was singing and I was only gone (from him) for an hour,” Mitchell said.

After they finish up the Ministry Of Sound gigs, which celebrate the best of mid 2000s electronic music and the DJs and live acts who played it, they head to Mykonos for three months.
This will be the third year of Sneaky Sundays on the famed Greek party island with their gigs attracting more than 3000 people each week.
And while they can’t say too much yet, Sneaky Sundays will also be launching in Los Angeles this year at a new rooftop club.

“We tend to focus on doing blocks of travel so we will be in Mykonos for three months and the US before and after that,” McDonald said.
“Our goal is simple and that’s to play quality house music and structure that around the lifestyle we want. So in Mykonos we have a villa and a nanny for when we are working and the rest of the time hang out with Iggy.”
The pair still marvel at the serendipidity that brought them together and launched Sneakys as one of the most successful independent dance groups in Australia with hit singles including I Love It, Pictures and UFO.
McDonald and his former creative partner Daimon Downey happened across Mitchell singing and playing guitar with a friend in Sydney’s Hyde Park and asked if she would like to collaborate with them.
Mitchell and McDonald worked together for several years before falling in love and marrying in 2015 in the dance music playground of Ibiza.
“We constantly pinch ourselves; it’s almost like a fairytale this whole situation and we’re very lucky,” he said.
“When we wanted to do something different, merge dance music with the 80s pop we loved and Connie has this eternal quality about her voice, it’s special, and her ability to sing in key every single time is unheard of.”

That special voice has taken Sneakys around the world and put them on the radar of Kanye West who used her on four tracks of his Graduation album.
One of the other reasons they agreed to the Ministry of Sound tour was because it features all their good mates including the Bang gang DJs, Goodwill Kid Kenobi, Tonite Only and Van She Tech.
The tour opens at Eatons Hill Hotel in Brisbane on May 19 with Sneaky Sound System also joining the line-up on DJs and live acts at the Greenwood Hotel, North Sydney on May 20 and May 27, the Forum, Melbourne on May 26, the Prince, Melbourne on May 26 and The Court, Perth on May 28.
