Don your green and Shamrocks and become the most popular person on your floor by making a St. Patrick’s day staple: corned beef and cabbage sandwiches.

Ingredients:
- 6 slices of marble rye bread
- 6 slices canned corned beef or prepackaged corned beef
- 3 slices Swiss cheese
- 1 1/2 c shredded cabbage (prepackaged)
- 3 tbs. mayonnaise
- 1 tsp. caraway seeds
- 3 tbs. yellow mustard
- ½ tsp. black pepper
- 3 tbs. softened butter (for frying)*
Materials:
- Table spoon
- Knife
- Cup
- Small bowl
- Mixing spoon
- Small frying pan
Serves: 3
Time: ~15 mins
Recipe:
- In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, mustard, caraway seeds and pepper until blended
- Stir in shredded cabbage
- Spoon onto both sides of rye bread.
- Add 2 slices (or your preference) of corned beef and Swiss cheese.
- Butter a small frying pan and grill each side of the sandwich on medium heat until golden brown and cheese melted.
- Serve and enjoy — ideally while wearing green!
*No stovetop? Microwave sandwich, or toast bread for a similar effect.
