BRAD Pitt made a surprise cameo at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival then shortly afterwards was gone — apparently disappearing through an open window.
The 51-year-old star headed the Hollywood elite making an appearance at America’s biggest independent film festival at Park City, Utah.
According to Us Weekly Pitt showed up at the screening of the film True Story, for which he is an executive producer, posing for photos with the film’s star James Franco.

The magazine said a source saw him socialising in the VIP section later.
The source said: “Brad wanted to smoke a cigarette, but he didn’t want to go out front where all the fans and people waiting for him could see… He lit his cigarette, and then stuck his head out the window, and then all of the sudden he was gone! He actually crawled out through the window onto the roof.”

As the stars partied business was being done as many of the year’s most promising indie flicks were snapped up by distributors.
According to Inside Movies, distributors Relativity paid $US3 million ($3.8 million) for the rights to the comedy The Bronze starring The Big Bang Theory’s Melissa Rauch as a reluctant mentor to a 16-year-old training for the Olympics.

On Friday, A24 Films bought the release rights for The End of the Tour, a drama with Jason Segel as acclaimed novelist David Foster Wallace and Jesse Eisenberg as a journalist sent to interview him.
Among other highlights at the festival was the film Mistress America, starring Greta Gerwig and directed by Noah Baumbach and a documentary about rock legend Kurt Cobain that was executive produced by his daughter, Frances Bean Cobain.
