THE Internet has offered up the latest in accidental stars as a video of an Irish schoolboy being interviewed about the weather has gone viral.

The hero of the video is 18-year-old schoolboy Ruairí McSorley, who was reportedly on his way to school when he was stopped by local TV station UTV.

The clip sees the Londonderry student being interviewed by reporter Gareth Wilkinson to offer comment on the cold snap that has hit Ireland.

His upbeat demeanour and decision to forego a coat in the snowy conditions won him fans across Ireland and with the video making its way to the front page of Reddit, the young lad has won himself fans across the world.

If you haven’t seen the clip yet, you might have to listen to it a couple times to catch exactly what Mr. McSorley says.

Mr. McSorley fancies himself as somewhat of a comedian and has previously posted videos on YouTube showing his impressions of popular characters. And with the unintended attention from his latest appearance, it might just be enough to jump-start a career in comedy.
