THE Project has shared a bug-filled behind-the-scenes glimpse at I’m A Celebrity headquarters.
Hosts Julia Morris and Chris Brown — who look like they will be observing all the action from a very cushy suite high above the ground — warned that while all may look serene at the South African base, it’s far from paradise.
MORE: First look inside jungle camp
“Lurking under the water, there are heaps of crocs and heaps of hippos,” Morris said, deadpan.
Bondi Vet himself added: “Without a doubt, the thing that is keeping our celebrities awake at night in that jungle are the creepy-crawlies. Over half a million insects, bugs, snakes, lizards, reptiles, leopards, lions, hyena.”
The critters will play a huge role in the challenges our 10 celebrities will face, and they might even be enough to send some packing.

On Sunday night, the premiere of Ten’s reality show will see 10 stars dropped on the fringe of Kruger National Park, armed with very little to survive their basic camp, food rations, no hot water and zero creature comforts for several weeks.
67 cameras will be recording around the clock, 58 microphones capturing every squeak and squeal, as well as 380 members of staff pitching in. Now the only thing we’re waiting on is the big reveal. Which celebs are currently on their way to South Africa, bracing themselves for a few weeks of hell?
I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! begins on Channel 10, February 1 at 6.30pm.
