KERSER’S gritty rap tales of life in Sydney suburbia have forced him to move from the streets that have fuelled his success.
The independent hip hop star shifted his base from Campbelltown to an undisclosed hamlet on the NSW south coast before releasing King in late-2014.
Kerser may be the biggest rap artist you have never heard of but his YouTube channel has clocked 26 million views.

And hundreds of local fans wanted an audience with the hip hop hero in their backyard. When his days started to end with selfie requests at his front door at 11pm, it was time to move.
The 27-year-old came to the attention of hip hop fans via the videos of his battles with rapper MC 360. Since then he has released four records in four years and made the ARIA top 10 without radio airplay.
Kerser hopes to inspire young people with his music.
“You get emails from kids telling you their stories of being addicted to ice at 12, abused at 14,” he said. “Sometimes they tell me I saved their life. On any day, that’s enough for me.”
