NEW Girl star Zooey Deschanel is expecting her first child with the man she has been dating for less than a year.
The 34-year-old star and her 42-year-old boyfriend, Jacob Pechenik, started dating in the middle of last year.
“Jacob and I are over the moon. We are so excited to meet our little one,” Deschanel told People magazine.

It is an exciting time for the Deschanel’s with news that Zooey’s sister, Bones actor Emily Deschanel, is expecting her second child with husband, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor David Hornsby. The couple already have a son, Henry, who was born in September 2011.

Zooey Deschanel was previously married to Ben Gibbard, lead singer of Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service.
Pechenik is a producer who has worked on such films as The Skeleton Key, Jobs and Before Midnight.
