FRENCH airline, La Compagnie, is set to launch budget business class only flights from London to New York in April.
Flying on a Boeing 757-200, the carrier will initially operate four times a week before expanding to six flights a week in June.
The real clincher however is the price. The 74 seat business class only flight is offering airfares well below current competition.

Launch fares are being sold at $1264 return per person, or $1960 per couple booking together. Regular fares will start from $3016 return, less than half the price of rival airlines.
The airline says it is able to offer budget business class fares by basing its headquarters on the outskirts of Paris to keep costs low and offering a basic business class service that allocates just three cabin crew per flight to service passengers.

The 74 seats will recline to almost fully flat in a two by two configuration with 62 inches of legroom, an aircraft of this size would usually hold 235 passengers.
Its menus have been designed by French chef Christophe Langree, the Michelin-starred chef at Hotel Matignon in Paris. The on-board amenity kits will be provided by French cosmetics brand Caudalie and passengers will be given a Samsung tablet preloaded with entertainment options.
La Compagnie already operates business class only flights between Paris and New York, a service that launched in July last year.
This newest route will fly from London’s Luton airport to New York’s Newark from April 24 with a flying time of around six hours and 45 minutes. But if you’re flying from Luton, it might take half that time to get to the airport in the first place.
