NOISEWORKS singer Jon Stevens has been charged with assault after an incident involving his fashion designer fiancee Jodhi Meares.

In a statement to news.com.au police revealed that in the early hours of Monday morning (9 February 2015), police were called to a property on Wolseley Road, Point Piper, following reports of a domestic argument involving a 52-year-old man and 42-year-old woman.

Officers from Rose Bay Local Area Command attended the property and spoke to the couple before arresting the man.

He was taken to Waverley Police Station and charged with assault, before being released on bail to appear before Waverley Local Court on Thursday (12 February 2015).

Police will apply for an AVO against Stevens, which if granted, will prohibit him approaching or contacting Meares for 28 days.

Meares reportedly suffered a minor injury to her wrist in the dispute which occurred after the model-turned-designer found text messages on his phone, according to Channel 9.

The incident comes only a week after the couple stepped out together at the 2015 David Jones Spring/Winter launch.

It’s been a tumultuous year for Jodhi who was charged with high range drink driving after her Range Rover hit a row of parked cars, causing it to flip onto its side in June 2014.

She miraculously escaped without injury but was fined $1100 and banned from driving for a year after pleading guilty in Waverley Court, in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

The ex-wife of billionaire James Packer claimed in court she had “been haunted” by their two year marriage and subsequent divorce.
