JENNIFER Aniston wants people to get over her perceived rivalry with Angelina Jolie and has nothing but kind words for ‘Unbroken’.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Cake star said she felt the tension between her and Jolie had significantly eased. “I think that’s coming to an end, I really do,” she said.

The awkwardness dates back to 2005, when Aniston’s marriage to Brad Pitt ended after he met Jolie on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith.

All eyes were on Aniston and Jolie at the recent Critics’ Choice Awards in Los Angeles, where both actors walked the red carpet.

Jolie made the courageous leap from acting to directing with last year’s war drama Unbroken. The film revolves around the life of US Olympian Louis Zamperini, who survived in a raft for 47 days after his bomber was downed in WWII, and became a prisoner of war.

“I mean, that movie is so beautiful and wonderful, and she did such a gorgeous job,” Aniston said. “I think it’s time people stop with that petty BS and just start celebrating great work and stop with the petty kind of silliness.”

The idea that she and Jolie have an ongoing feud is “tiresome and old,” she added. “It’s like an old leather shoe. Let’s buy a new pair of shiny shoes.”

Aniston, 45, and Pitt, 51, were married for five years. She has been engaged to actor Justin Theroux, 43, since 2012. Pitt and Jolie married last year and have six children.
